Cooks Rocking Evaporator, circa 1860 is at the Somerset Historical Center

Somerset Historical Center is home to a Mansfield-made, Cook's Evaporator made in the 1850's

The Historical and Genealogical Society of Somerset County is the steward of the cultural heritage of Somerset County through its historical collections, educational programs, and genealogical archives.

SOMERSET HISTORICAL CENTER

The Somerset Historical Center educates the public about rural life in southwestern Pennsylvania from prehistory to the present. The Historical and Genealogical Society of Somerset County, a non-profit community based organization, supports and assists the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission by conducting the daily operations of the site.
